FYI: Running-in… actual experience of another owner:

“…did a break in service on 12/23 … I never went over 5,000 rpm nor braked / accelerated suddenly in those 2,000 Km.

Driving on electricity is also included in those 2000 kilometers, which means the total mileage.
The car counts the total mileage …asks for break-in-service after a total of 2,000 kilometers, regardless of whether you drove on electricity or gasoline. After 2,000 kilometers, I had 1,920 kilometers on gasoline and 103 kilometers on electricity.”

All the glossy black parts like the front grill, carbon fiber mirrors and roof and rear diffuser and spoiler are all clear ppf’d and not satin/stealth. I’ll try to post a few pictures in the next few days. Been busy traveling. Heading up to the ppf shop tomorrow to have the IND painted reflectors wrapped with the satin fil.
We also picked up a ‘25 Escalade ESV as well in Argent Silver and it is being fully wrapped in Pure PPF in Frozen Ruby Red and we are changing the color and hopefully done by the end of the week and I’ll post a few before and after shots

With snow on the roads, no luck getting good shots yet. Car will go for a ceramic coating anyway and hopefully by then the roads will be clear.

Stop, the ice & snow is a dose. I’ve mine out of the weather and using another yoke until the weather improves and that road salt dissolves!
Car looks great and envious of that stealthy 4th digit on your reg! An alzheimers victim could memorise mine!

I'm also quite happy with the 140 Euro road tax for the year ... that's a quite a difference from the yearly 2400 with the G81... but hey running a 2.4 tones V8 is obviously better for Co2 emissions according to the environmental people coming up with these brackets.

The beast is now being ceramic coated for a few days and by then it will be all wet and not freezing temperature as usual.

That’s absolutely brilliant. I forgot the gig with the last 6-digits of the VIN = PIN… sorted it last night.
Can’t see it lasting, TBH… whatever about the one’s reg’d now… surely it’ll be changed?

I'm feeling a bit like I should have gone with MBB instead of spending the money to get Blue Hera Mica Metallic.

Never seen BHM in the flesh, but from the individual visualiser it looks nice, perhaps a bit lighter than MBB. Either way i'm sure it's going to look great !

I did a 537 km trip which is almost a full fuel tank range, with little to no battery. Mostly motorway and maybe half an hour of congested city driving.

I'm pretty impressed by the consumption of this V8 given the weight of this car. I get better fuel efficiency than my G81 and on par or better than the G20 330e i had few years back. Without the city driving this would have gotten to 9L / 100 km ranges. Cars was left in hybrid mode and while the ICE was doing it's nominal job on the motor way i could see the EV power train was helping when little boost of power was needed while it remained in 8th gear. It seems to me BMW nailed the efficiency of using both power sources. Software seems to have progressed leaps and bounds compared to the G20 i had.
