I grew up in a town with a Naval Air Station. The kids from "The Base" were their own little clique. Same with the kids who attended the Catholic school until the 8th grade.

I absolutely want nothing to do with anyone from my high school!

Out of curiosity, I just found the alumni association's web site for the small high school that I attended. They have a pathetically insecure database of all alumni with email and snail-mail addresses online for an SQL search, and the only information that they have about me is my name and graduation year. I'm still weighing the ethics of trying to inject a SQL "update" command to change my name in their database to "Nuts, Deez" just to wipe my record completely.

The more interesting thing is that they do not hold class reunions because the school was so small, but do host an annual gathering of all alumni from any graduating year who want to attend. Looking at last year's flyer, the place they held the gathering barely seats 75 people so you can imagine the turnout and odds of even one of my former classmates attending on any given year...not that I want to see any of them even if they did show.....

It sounds like its a hard no for you. That's okay too.
Many years ago, a fellow in the class ahead of mine started a once-every-90
days luncheon for all who graduated from our high school 50 or more years
ago. Thinking it might be cliquey like our regular class reunions, I skipped
the invites until just before Covid hit. I’ve attended 6 times and man, was
I surprised how enjoyable it was. I’ve bumped into folks I knew from
different classes and even neighborhood chums clear back to when I was
5 years old, but had moved away long before graduation. And unlike
regular reunions, no loud band. No band at all. We could hear each other!

I have the opposite situation. My graduating class had 640 students. I grew up in at the beach in Southern California and lots of classmates still live in the area or they really like coming back for visit. We had about 125 classmates and 50 guests at our 55th. It was a total blast. Our 60th is 2 years away and classmates are already asking details about it. If I had your situation, I'd probably pass too. Why travel to see nobody you know.

What a great idea. I'm glad you had fun.

My high school class has never shown any interest in my attendance for any of its reunions (almost to the 35th one). My parents still live in the house that I walked/biked/drove to school from, and they’ve never seen any reunion info. I don’t do much with social media (still no photo associated with my facebook account for anyone to possibly recognize).

Congrats to all the old-timers here! I’m old enough to recognize at least a few of the photographed items that have been posted here.
