If same price...M5CS or G90 M5...which you pick?
Just curious if anyone has had the chance to compare the two. I have the opportunity to get an M5CS with very low miles, or I could get a M5 G90 with carbon ceramics and a nice spec. I'm curious how they will both retain value over the years. Performance wise...I assume the M5CS would be a little quicker and lighter of course. Obviously the G90 would have more tech. Having seen or driven neither...which would you guys go with?

If you prioritize comfort and technology and it is your daily driver i will go g90
If you prioritize good handling nimble and more sporty car then m5 cs The cs seats are good but not great for long distances if you have commute The cs is more special car and it will not depreciate as bad as g90 (so better long term value the g90) |

If I were a sedan person I'd pick the M5CS.
I'm not a sedan person so I pick the M5 Touring and that's only available in G99. |

Lol
The f90 cs is very well connected and very direct and maybe one of the best bmws of latest generation (havent drive the m3 cs) and you feel it is lighweight and fun to drive Acceleration wise you wont feel much difference compared to the g90 The cs seats are not too comfy long drive but if ur commute is short should nkt be a problem The cs interior feels special but outdated Again if you like pure driving experience and nimble car go for the cs no question If you care about comfort and tech and like suv like driving postion go g90 |

You mention value retained over the years, clearly a special edition such as the CS will be the better value. The g90 will tank as with every other big, luxury hybrid on the planet, thats just the cost of ownership.
I’d have the G90 because the F90CS would kill me on tax benefit. If buying it as a weekend sports car, I’d have the CS but, in reality, there’s several other sports cars I’d choose over it. |

G90 for sure, I prefer newer tech and the all new look, and will probably upgrade for a new CS or comp if it comes out.
CS would be a good collector, like the 1M and good car for meets, cars and coffee etc |

I see many posts about the value prop. When it comes to resell I would argue the M5 CS isn't going to hold it's value enough to warrant it as your driving force on choice here. If you intend on this car being a daily driver it doesn't matter. As the miles pile up on a M5 CS any additional value is minimal because people only pay a real premium with low miles. I know everyone on here is a purist but the facts are the M5 CS looks dated. There are enough of these cars floating around it's never going to be that hard to acquire one.
Bottom Line is drive both. See which one suits your liking and needs best. I for one drive my G90 daily and love having PHEV for local driving. I can go on a tank of gas for a few weeks. If I want to go all petrol it's as easy as pushing the M2 paddle. I also like the spaciousness and comfort since it's my daily driver. These were important to me so that's what drove my choice. |

If you want a car to drive it and enjoy it regularly, then G90 will give you everything you need, and it’ll be a joy to do long distance driving in it, it is soo comfortable.
F90cs is not the car I’d want for a daily driving purposes, because it’s very stiff car, harsh suspension and luck of comfort options, sound deadening, and base sound system. . M5cs will hold more of its value over G90, but only if you keep mileage low. . Now personally me, I’d go with g90, even F90 vs F90cs I still went with F90comp cuz I like comfortable seats more over carbon bucket ones |

G90 is the daily driver. F90CS if you don’t care about the loss of a few creature comforts, and don’t mind the buckets.

Limited run car will always retain more value in comparison to regular production run one. Just check on values of 30yahre F10. You can even compare M5CS to regular or comp car from same model year. CS had many things that were only limited to this model. G90 values will depreciate like stone. Just like any other regular M5 before it. My personal take is that it will depreciate even more than that because of its complex powertrain.
