LOL this is interesting.
IM doing a paper on global warming (also a presentation). I thinking of doing a anti-global warming paper and pres. after watching this. It should be controversal. Last edited by BMW F22; 03-18-2007 at 10:12 PM.. |

yup...let's compare to this to An Inconvient Truth.
This video does have a lot of good points to it. Not sure if all the info/data they give are correct....but yeahh good to watch.

Too long for me, to sit and listen to more propaganda.
Give me a paper with references, without the flash and hype. Each side has valid points. I don't know which camp is correct. But I refuse to listen to biased crap, from either side. I think I'll play it safe and admit that man may play a role in global warming, and that it may not be a normal variation. What are the odds? Maybe a 50% chance that civilization plays some role? 10%? 5%? If there is a chance, I'm not going to ignore the concern. I appreciate the environment, and I don't like it to be shit on, global warming or not. Reducing pollution is a good thing, too bad if profits are reduced. And no, I haven't seen An Inconvenient Truth, either. This BBC made-for-TV movie was designed to be controversial and biased. The first few minutes that I watched reminded me of that POS made-for-TV '80s movie 'The Day After'. |

I (a scientist myself), dont necessarily believe in global warming. There is a cyclical nature to Earth's average temperatures over many, many years. Its just apart of the cycle...
We do need to find an alternative to the internal combustion engine (ironically I am saying this on an automotive enthusiast website). Hybrids just are not the answer either. BMW may be on to something with their Hydrogen powered cars... |

Global Warming is a myth. The Earth is getting warmer, but it isn't our fault, it's the cows.

only time will tell imo..... if hurricanes keep increasing and new orleans eventually becomes deserted (a real possibility considering the gov't is doing NOTHING about the situation) ... then i'll believe in global warming 100%. right now i'm only about 60-70% convinced that there is a direct correlation between co2 and temperature. because frankly this winter has been cold as usual.

And it's a good thing they aren't helping people re-populate a geographically untenable area. If they were I'd be really pissed they were wasting tax dollars like that.

To do something like that would have to cost... maybe... around 200 BILLION dollars. Nobody would do anything like that.

People like to think they can control the weather. It is almost unthinkable that the weather is due to factors beyond our control. Factors like the solar wind and the variable output of the sun's power. Yes, it seems so much more palatable to think that if you can just get everybody to follow you, that you could even change the weather!
