Of more interest is Scott26's reply in post #22 that there will be no M1 and 1 sedan and the reasons why. I guess he is monitoring a number of BMW forums.

This comment by Scott I find really exciting.

X1 is being introduced at the Paris autoshow. That's what's next in the 1 line.
