if you were the height and size of a nickel you could very easily pick a spot where the blades dont reach and chill out. Either that or you could devise a way to turn your clothes into a rudimentry parachute and hope the blades are traveling fast enough to create enough wind to carry you out of the blender.
So, im 6'1, 73", and a nickel is 1/10 of an inch. If i weigh about .4 pounds per sq inch it would be the same at the height of .1 inches so i'd weigh .04 pounds.
i would then need to pray the i meet the required specs for the blender to be able to lift me.
is the blender set to puree? lol

Sorry, but I really don't get it. Since we don't know the house number, why doesn't 1,1,11 work? The sum is 13, and there is an older daughter.

it could of but he gave an extra clue, therefore saying there was 2 of the same sum's ex. 36 twice...which made him say one daughter is older...get it?

If you don't pick either one of the 36's then there are multiple combos that satisfy the rules. Thus, there would be no one solution.

Here's an easy one: Why are manhole covers round?
because the cover will not fall through the hole

I have the same idea with you. Great! Thanks for sharing.
Glad to hear you're using this: I plan to keep it much more aggressively up-to-date than has been the case in the past, but don't hesitate to let me know if you find errors or need clarifications.

Yea, and that's what I was getting at. Other than picking the 36 because two of the answers came back that way, there really wasn't a "wrong" answer.

Thanks!

If it was 1,1,11 then he wouldn't need more information (to know that there is an oldest daughter). There is only one combination that leads to 13 as a sum. Are you just being difficult or do you really not comprehend this concept?

grieverr, it's one of those questions where you have to read the details carefully. we don't need to know the number across the street. we assume right away that the two friends KNOW that number since they are both on the street. If the house number was something other than 36, we can assume right away that the friend can calculate the ages of the daughers (therefore the riddle is useless). However, BECAUSE the man said he needed more information, we know right away that the house number is 36 (since there are two possibilities causing the confusion). The soccer playing daughter verifies that the combination 6,6,1 does not work.
