Do they really need to test such minor changes? Also, wouldn't it be more camouflaged if they didn't use that tape that draws attention to it? I guarantee that if they would have avoided the tape, no one would have noticed the difference between the current Mini and this one.

Agree....if it had been a more conventional interior, I probably would've bought one of these. (Then again, if it had a more conventional interior, it wouldn't be a "Mini"....so maybe I'm not the market they're looking for.)

I got used to the quirky interior/toggles etc in a week. I look at MPH on the digital readout above the steering wheel. Otherwise I only look at the monster center speedo to see my fuel level.
The fun factor and awesome gas mileage, 28.8 city avg with a heavy foot, far outweigh it's "unique" interior. One year left on this lease and I will be looking for a deal on the new AWD S. Best urban use car I have ever had. For my free oil changes are the only times it has been back to the dealer. Unlike my 335 which went to same dealer so many times I can't count them. |
