419 RWHP 370Z S/C Kit

Looks like they're getting really good results on the 370Z. Not bad for a 5k price tag.

The internals of 350z's were weak. I'm not sure what you mean by responding well to FI. Forced air is forced air. Any platform will make power when you introduce forced induction.

350z's are notorious for being unable to handle boost in their stock form.
Even the boosted ones pushing near 450whp weren't that fast for some odd reason.

not all cars, you ever seen a boosted rx8...saddest display of power(or lack of)

i remember the 350s being hit and miss on the strength of the internals...i remember the greddy kit grenading more engines than any other kit.

they werent that fast because they couldnt put their power down..i know i couldnt.

And why do think that is?

Compare the mass flow rate of the turbo used by the rx8 and 350z and you'll see why. One uses a turbo that's only good for ~400whp on piston engine which translates to even lower power output in rotary.
The other uses twin turbos with enough flow to support more than 600whp, not to mention the displacement.

+1 the 350z internals were weak sauce, you needed some major upgrading before you can get a proper FI setup going on.
But the 350z does handle better than the 370z from what I hear from my friends.

The issue with the 350z, for the most part, is the tune. They can handle some boost but not a ton. I think the reason the Greddy kits killed so many is because they were the hardest to tune. I'm not a big FI guru by any means, but I used to own a Z and am still a moderator for one of their forums, so I have been hearing stories for years regarding them.

As for the 370z kit? We'll see how it goes, but I don't expect the VQ to hold on very well personally.

I personally have never heard anyone say they are good at handling boost, but that's just my experience.

Yup, a built motor with forged internals is the only way to do it and still be able to sleep at night.

Couldn't agree more.
If you FI the car, it can't be daily driven without doing a built motor and forged pistons, not to mention a upgraded shaft.

It depends on the platform and turbo choice. Some requires built motor to be driven hard, some don't. Contrary to some beliefs, it's easier on the car if you daily drive it because you are less likely to beat on it.
Built motor includes forged pistons, and you don't need an upgraded shaft in most cases.

If you said upgraded clutch, that might be different, however.
