It looks like a wagon, but it's the size of a hatchback. There aint no way you're gettin no sheet of plywood in the back of an A3.
I might have gotten one of these if they we're available in the US and cost significantly less than an M3, but if both the RS3 and M1 ever make it to showrooms in the US (I'm not holding my breath) they may price simiarly enough to be an interesting comarison. When I crossed shopped the A3 and 1 it would have been a tough call between a 128i and an A3 3.2. I would expect the RS3 to be similarly comparable to a 135i with the performance upgrade kit, but the anticipated M1 will likely be lighter and more powerful. Both cars would target slightly different audiences anyway. Those who want more practicality versus driving thrills.

On a personal note I question the why Audi would bring an RS3 this close to the end of the model, I reckon waiting until 2013 would be wiser, new platform, better dynamics and more up to date electronics and equipment. Likewise I question the reason for bringing the M1 this late into the production cycle of the 1 series. Last edited by footie; 05-01-2010 at 03:03 PM.. |

Exactly and we know which car will be the driver's car - the one you choose with your gut.
