hows the 24-70 treating you on the crop body? i was looking at that for a few days but since i have a 28-135 and 10-20 for my 50d i couldnt bring myself to buy another standard wide zoom for my crop and now im waiting for my 17-55 2.8

I love the 24-70mm. I was borrowing my friends until I moved and gave in and just bought it. It should be arriving today! I love the contrast and bokeh on the lens- even normal snapshots are a lot nicer than the 28-135. I never really liked my 28-135 I think it was because it doesn't really have bokeh, it isn't that sharp and I often felt it was slow. My favorite lens is my prime, I love my 50mm and wish I has the 35L. I love portraits

I'm also a little biased/jaded. My buddy has 5-6 L lenses and is kind enough to let me borrow them. After using his lenses, even on my crop body, I got spoiled as I could see the difference in sharpness and color in the shots. So I began to hate my 28-135 quickly. Actually, I just remembered I bought it from him when he upgraded to a 24-70mm L and a 70-200mm L. That jack@ss LOL

Anyway, from my experience thus far, the brick is going to be my walk-around lens with my prime and 10-22 ready when I need them. I love the 24-70mm and hope you get to try before you buy. you wont regret it!

I also want the 7D bad...just need to bank account to recover first

Nice. I just bought my 7D as well, loving it! ISO on it is so much better than my rebel. Just need more things to take pictures of!
