not everyone can be in the same room as the preacher. the chapel is somewhat small and i want to film the service and broadcast to other parts of the funeral home where people are sitting.... whats the most cost effective way to do this? what should i expect to pay some techy to set all this up for me??? i already have a 50 inch TV to mount on wall Last edited by 08rookie; 09-13-2010 at 11:19 PM.. |

I know you can use Windows Media Center to do this.
But you need the proper wiring and the doohikies to make it work. sorry I can't be of any more help I've always wanted to have a central Blu-Ray player that plays to other TVs.. the cost is high! you need a system like the Kaleidescape (http://www.kaleidescape.com/) but less high tech

Should be able to get it done for pretty cheap in terms of equipment. Its the wiring you'll have to pay for. I dont know if I'd take my chances with wifi cameras and whatnot. True hardwire would be the safest bet.

Why not try and rig a set up out of security cameras? I've seen units go for around $300 at Costco.

i would spend a nice chunk on a camera and tv...maybe two tvs. however, i do not need to record this. there will be no need to save the data. i just need to broadcast live to other parts of our mortuary... |
