Got a ticket for no front plate. What do I do?
Got a ticket for $43. It says the reduced amount is $10. I read the back of the ticket and it says to mail a photo in.
But also it also says to mail a certificate of correction which will validate my citation after inspection. These two statements contradict each other. Do I actually have to go get it inspected or can I mail in a photo and a check for the reduced amount? |

The cop was pretty much being a dick. Don't they have better things to do.
$10 is fine for the ticket. Wait until you get a letter from the county court in which you got the ticket. Put your front plate on and go to any police station and have them sign it off. The police station will charge you $10 to get it signed off. I would recommend going to Highway Patrol because it's free to sign off. After they sign it off take it to court and pay the $10 fine. |

I always tell them that I have a leased car and not allowed to modify it. And then they proceed to tell me that it is the law in Texas, and then I just state that I didn't realize that. Then they tell me about the no-drill brackets and then I say, "Oh, that's a good idea. I'll take care of it when I get home."
Has gotten me off the hook twice so far. Gotta think on your feet. |

I told the cop that it was a new bumper that just got painted, and the license plate bracket hasn't been installed yet because of that. He was like "too bad".
