Late response, but if I'm not mistaken, new Ferraris come with a seven year unlimited mileage warranty, and build quality is pretty good now. Especially for relatively straightforward cars like the 458, 488, Cali T, Roma, etc (V8/RWD/DCT). I know of quite a few 458s with over 75k miles on them, including multiple with well over 100k. No reason the Roma can't do the same.

Exhaust sound is probably the only flaw in what's almost the perfect street car that doubles as a super car. It's got that hoover note that's not overly pleasing.

modern ferraris and lambos are pretty reliable from the 458/huracan and onward. Previous to that there was some issues.

I'd still steer clear of mclaren though.

Honestly, even the base 992 is a terrific car and plenty of push for daily driving. I have only driven a 991.1 and 991.2 Turbo and Turbo S. They are exhilaratingly fast but you have to be careful in urban driving. I have driven the “base” 992 (if you can call it that) and a few 992 S and 4S. I only got the S for my Targa due to the extra weight. If I got a Coupé, I would be happy with the regular 992. I wouldn’t kick a Turbo S out of bed either, but I can have two base 992 for one Turbo S.

I saw a 991 yesterday, Turbo S, looked great etc, pop and crackle exhaust but jesus H engine/exhaust sound was horrible for how impressive the car looks.

The warranty is only 3 years, the free maintenance is 7 years. Additional years of warranty are $5k or $6500 per year depending on V8 or V12

CanAutM3 just purchased a 992 Turbo which, according to C/D tests, is rather similar to the Turbo S as it pertains to straight line speed. As expected, when speeds approach 130+, the S shows off its extra 68 hp and becomes a guided missile.

Same car as above but with more roadway to stretch its legs. 62-124 mph in 4.2s

Slightly off topic but when 100-200 km/h happens in under 4 seconds, it's worth posting.

Good observation. Porsche gear boxes are typically finely synchronized and power shifting isn't recommended. It's probably been beefed up.
