Don't think so . Checo did a great move by closing the door for 7Hammy .
7Hammy was on the inside of T1 and locked completely up . No way he could make it there by out braking Checo ...Never , ever !
This was actually a beginners mistake from 7Hammy !

Why he didn't take the P2 points ? Ego ?

Sorry for VER luck with this one, he drove a well controlled race.
Racing can be a very cruel sport at times.

As for HAM, 5hit happens.

Hammy got Checo immediately on the restart on the inside and Checo could not block him,he had no chance, my point is that race the leader should choose what side he is on and a rolling start could have been implemented also.

i know where this talk will lead.. nowhere.. happened here million times..

i dont know you Bubbles.. but i know myself.. its been quite a while that i dont judge people by their appearances.. you can interpret of course.. but it ll be purely subjective.. and we can see at the moment how warped results can be..

felt really bad to see such talks here..
Why can’t you poke fun at pants? It’s pants.

I think any real athlete isnt a real athlete if he wouldn't feel disappointed when not achieving P1 when it was within his grasp. You want to cheer for an athlete that says: "if I had performed to my maximum ability I would have stood on P1 but I'm very happy with P3"?
I can only think back to the glorydays of F1 when Senna and Prost were fighting the battle all weekend long because the wouldnt take less than P1. Not only in the race or in qualifying, but also in all the practice sessions. They wanted to be #1 period.

Mind you, VER doens't blame anyone in particular here, he's disappointed in his own performance, that he wasn't there at the right time. And there is nothing wrong or immature about that. Not for an athlete that is there to win.

Using his age as an excuse is just another way to talk him down on a point that isn't really there. A poor discussion technique.

It's not VER that has some growing up to do here.....
Overthinking my post. Max is ahead of his time from a maturity standpoint, but he occasionally acts his age which is ok.

The funny thing about the "gentleman" bringing up the pants is especially hilarious since so many fans are complaining about the "corporate robot driver" and not-then Sir Lewis left McLaren to have more freedom as an individual. The forays into fashion, music and many other endeavors are the result of this yet there are fans who impugn him about being different.

It's literally insane.
Zebra pants are funny but I support your right to wear them in good health.

Anyone know what the hydraulic issue was? Coolant dump to keep Hammy at bay?

Very enjoyable race, was happy that Seb & AM took second & pleased that Sergio took the win after RB sabotaged his pit stop to prevent him getting out in front of Max

I've watched it a few times now and even with his magic brake switch in the wrong position hammy was in front there on restart and he simply outbraked himself, a little before and he would have made it.

Very entertaining race with lot's of surprises. Based on qualifying everyone expected a few crashes, but not from tire blowouts. Looks like Mercedes will have their hands full this season for a change. The car is clearly not superior, Bottas is doing nothing and Hamilton is off his game - probably because the car isn't satisfactory. The question though is whether Red Bull/Max can be as good as Mercedes/Hamilton has been in being consistently on the podium. The Ferrari failure just continues. Would love to see Vettel consistently be in the top five now.

Honestly I don't think so ..He locked completely up by braking too late vs Checo.
"IF" 7Hammy would have made it ...His tires were flat-spotted anyway .

Whatever mistake hammy made was in RB's favour and Horner was saying afterwards he's rarely been on such a up and down trip..the hair can turn grey in minutes lol

that was that GP I was telling about in my previous post:
https://www.zpost.com/forums/showpos...&postcount=241

So where michelin advised the teams that used michelin not to participate due to an accident with Ralph Schumacher caused by the tires overloading on a certain spot on the track.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_U...tes_Grand_Prix

So there was a really small startgrid.
Very strange race that was...

There was of course that controversial F1 race that Michelin advised their users to either lower speed or reduce life to a few laps, and where Bridgestone had none of those problems (this was about 15 years ago, and then there were more than 1 tyremanufacturer active in F1).
As a result the race was held with only teams that used bridgestone.

If memory serves me correctly it was after a heavy crash with Ralph Schumacher.

This event can of course be explained in 2 ways:
1. Michelin makes unsafer tyres than bridgestone. (back then)
2. Michelin doesnt want to take any chance and after an (unexplained) incident they tell the teams not to take the risk.

But the FIA also plays a big role in how the tyres should be designed and what it's goals are.
Do they want to see more show or do they want to see more safety. These don't always go hand in hand.
That was the Indianapolis F1 race.
