Cayman is fantastic on paper and worlds better actually driving. No offense, but the Supra and Z5 will be well off the pace of what the current cayman is doing and both will not hold a candle to the GT4 coming.

This is not Supra ,cheap try to cash in Supra name.
Comparing to 1993, this one have a 5HP bump after 25+ years, old one looks better than "new" one.

I owned a Supra MKIV TT before, during, and shortly after TFATF. I can guarantee you, that movie had a TON to do with the legend of the car. Very few people commented on the car before that movie. After the movie came out, rockstar status confirmed it was unreal. It also more than doubled the price I paid for the car used in a matter of months.

I've been a fan in the import scene ever since I can remember and Supra being one of the most awesome cars on the planet. I think Toyota and BMW did good on this and I have no qualms on the engine or the exterior/interior--it looks really really nice. A lot of tuners look at the car and see a lot of potential in it as do I. The curves and angles of the exterior look amazing and look brutish at times. The shape brings the old school look back into the new school look--it's so sick.
I don't care that it isn't 100% Japanese or that Europeans contributed to it; in fact I think that is awesome that automakers from two different markets are collaborating together to make something cool like this. You wouldn't have seen that 20-30 years years ago. |

Unfortunately the manual is going away faster than id like to see.. Even the next 3 series has no manual.

Completely agree, They prob said "BMW offers 1 Transmission, And were offering 1 Transmission" The only 3 series with a manual going fwd is the M3/M4 and the 2 series.

When I learned to drive a manual, a long, long time ago in a galaxy far away, I had to learn the shift points by touch and feel; no rev matching, no tachs.
If one wants the true old experience, then go for a manual that really requires you to feel the shift points. Otherwise, I don't see a big difference between shifting a modern 3 pedal car and using the paddle shifters. |

Look, I want a G81 wagon with rwd and a manual, but it isn't going to happen. Be happy that we can still get a Miata, Cayman, 911 (soon) or Wrangler with a manual. I'd personally rather either a Miata or a Cayman than this anyway. |
