My wife leaves a trail of destruction and haphazardly dropped shit in her wake that is so legendary, I call her "the Hurricane." You can no joke see the path she took as she entered the house from work. Shoes on the floor by the front door, a few steps later and her jacket is draped over the railing, 3 more paces and her purse is there on a side table, into the kitchen and there's her lunch bag on the counter, 3 feet down the counter there's a pile of papers she brought home, and finally her dirty lunch dishes on the counter NEXT to the sink as opposed to in the sink (let alone in the dishwasher).

So in my house I'm like your wife. I'm randomly stuffing her shoes, jacket, purse, etc. into whatever cubby hole I can find to make a point. You gotta ask yourself, are YOU "The Hurricane" in your relationship?

No 100pc not, I am neat as a pin. But if i leave, say a torch on the benchtop and go downstairs to get another tool, it'll vanish. She has put away the chopping board on me as I am cooking ffs. Even food, no rhyme or reason when she packs, just wherever i fits, same with cutlery.

interesting my wife was a cleanliness freak. when she was a stay at home mom and I was at full time work and came home tired I was 'the hurricane' but she trained me so I became a clean freak and can't tolerate clutter or dirt.
Fast forward a few years and she started working full time she became 'the hurricane' as she couldn't care less where things went after a hard day's work.
We often laugh about how much of a slob she has become and how I adapted despite being tired to 'unhurricane myself' to keep her happy.
