My dog did that once. We were hosting a backyard BBQ. My wife invited her friend Julie who I didnt really like. Julie, among other strikes against her, hated our dog. In one of my proudest dog-dad moments Bella came out of no-where and in a flash jumped up on the picnic table bench, up onto the table, grabbed Julie's BBQ chicken right off her plate, shot down the other side of the table, across the yard, and into the bushes to eat her prize. It was epic.

Watching that dog coming out of it's hiding place, while wagging it's tail, would have been the icing on the cake; let alone of it had the last piece of chicken!

Something similar happened to me years ago on a family trip to Disney World in Florida! We were in Magic Kingdom and, feeling peckish, we decided to get something to eat. I fancied the look of the foot-long hot dogs being served up, so I ordered one of those together with some other bits for the wife and kids who were seated.

On the short walk from the kiosk to our table I suddenly felt and heard a "whoosh!" by my right ear. For a split second, I didn't realise what had happened, but then I saw the flapping wings of a seagull that was making a hasty retreat with its prize. The dang thing had swooped down, expertly taken the hot dog, and left the bun in my hand! I think they must do that pretty often... The lady at the kiosk saw all of this happen and gave me a free replacement
