This entire movie was kick-ass!

Fast paced and non-stop....just the way it should be.

Wife and I watched Vice. I knew going in that it would be political propaganda but it looked like Christian Bale would be awesome in the trailers. He was excellent, as was Amy Adams. Steve Carell and some others, not so much. Anyway, it was ok for what it was. Surely those on the left will enjoy it, but there is some comedy to allow those on the right to enjoy parts of it, even knowing it was designed to be inflammatory.

Interesting. I thought it would be a complete hit job on Cheney. Interestingly enough, the director and writer of this film, McKay, has had a long working relationship with Will Ferrell, and now apparently they're not working together anymore.

Oh it was a 100% hit job no doubt, but some parts were still amusing and it’s hard not to appreciate the job Bale did. He has some of those Cheney mannerisms down perfectly.

I saw that news about Ferrell and his business partner. Going in separate directions. Hopefully that leads to twice as much comedy.

The Raid 2 is also good. If nothing else, the last 30 min or so of the movie is almost all fight scenes. There's even knife play w/ karambits (since Silat is the primary martial art of the movie).

I believe there are also plans for a 3rd movie, too!

Do it! It is a bit of a continuation of the 1st movie but doesn't require one to see it first. Personally, I liked the action more in the 2nd movie. That said, the whole premise of fighting one's way up a building to get the 'big boss' like in the 1st movie has such a classic, nostalgic feel to it.

The Director cut of The Kingdom of Heaven on Spectrum On Demand is so much better than the theater release.

Like "Game of Death" with Bruce Lee. I'll be sure to check it out.

Not sure I how I feel about remake of a classic Disney movie, but I feel like I momentarily traveled back in time. Can’t wait.

^ I tend to avoid Disney movies at all costs.

EVERY DAMN ONE ONE OF THEM IS THE SAME TIRED ASS THEME. Examples below.

Character A, loses a parent. Character A along with sidekick B (and sometimes C) have to face an evil nemesis. By the use of some magical BS character A with the help of sidekick(s) go through some transformation in the form of a musical montage by list any top name performer by the use of more magic, love, encouragement and personal sacrifice in order to overcome the evil nemesis followed by happy feelings all around.

Give me a movie where the bad guy wins and everyone dies.

Ah yes. Right you are sir. Still.....movies that play on emotions are not for me. I watch to be entertained/educated not to have my emotions toyed with. This is work of women, not the film industry.

But they’re generally made for kids though. And people tend to not like the unfamiliar.

Off the top of my head, the only movie I can think of where a genuinely bad guy wins is The Dark Knight.
