I cringe when I hear people say shit like “cab”, “cab sav”, etc. In restaurants it’s even worse.

Second that, they make really great Pinot Noir that ages quite beautifully.

If you like Pinot, also suggest looking at Kistler, Flowers, Littorai, Bonaccorsi, Rhys Vineyards and Freestone (a Joseph Phelps owned label).

Hi!

They run about 40-120+ plus the tax and shipping. The Sonoma County and Russian River Valley are my favs and they’re around 60 plus, then there are some special higher end ones that i throw in.

Fabulous wines!

You’re from NY/LI have you tried Ospreys Dominion out on the North Fork?
They make a nice Cab that’s won some awards and we go through a good amount as well some of their other choices. Every time we head out that way we stock up.

Yes, i go out to the North Fork all the time and spend summer out there too. There are a number of local wines that are quite enjoyable

Enjoy!!!

Also, for those not too familiar with Pinot Noir, and especially higher end offerings, you need to let them breathe!! Seriously, you can open a bottle and taste a completely different glass from the opening tio about 15mins later. But as no one wants to wait, you should atleast use a mini aerator, or optimally a decanter.

It makes all the difference!!!

Good list. Havent tried all but Silver Oak is awesome but pricey. I like a good Joel Gott though, great wine at a good price.

Also like Pinot Noir, if you want a little spice with your wine.

Gotta agree with Silver Oak, Pride and Joseph Phelps. Surprised no one mentioned Hall and PlumpJack/Cade yet. Great Cabs from them as well.

Will try Caymus next!

We've been having Apothic zinfandel red Californian for a while and find others hard to beat it, never a shortage of it in Costco, full bodied but with a balanced taste even goes great with Salmon.

I tried three different liquor stores - nada. I'm going to order a bottle or two on line.
