Hey Louis and Torqueless! Welcome to the insanity. Louis, you better post pics of the AW 135i when it comes in, or you may have a mutiny on your hands.

Hi,
I am Bill from Denver. I owned a 1975 2002 that I bought used in 1978. It was the best car I have ever owned. In 1978 my dad did not even know what a BMW was when I can home with it. The twin turbo 135i has again captured me. I have been looking at a 335Xi for a family vehicle, but after seeing the 135i and being reminded of the 2002...I am hooked again. The 135i should compete nicely with my 2007 MV Agusta F41000R for which ride to take in the Colorado front range canyons. Bill |

New Kid
Hey first post here on 1 addicts.
Very excited for march to roll around, Im heading off to college in orlando next year and plan on trading in my beaten up Charger Dayona R/T. Ive been driving my dad's A6 3.2 S-Line recently also and the difference between American Muscle and German Engineering is staggering. Yea the Charger is fast is a strait line, but im way over the strait line factor. I'm thinking 135i Sport package, Auto, and Shadowline. O and the 1 is finally up on BMWUSA officially so thats pretty exciting, I just wished the Build feature worked today. Great to be a new member and I cant wait to make the switch! -Erick  |

Yoooo!
Just stoppin by to introduce myself. My name is Adde. I ventured into this forum in search of more info on the 135i which will probably be my next car by this upcoming summer. I currently have a 2007 VW GTI with all the boltons and all that good stuff. The reason for me looking into a 135i is that I have a pretty high interest rate on the GTI because my dad financed it and he had decent credit at the time(I pay for everything dont worry) so come summer time it will be my second year with the car, all payments been ontime and my dad repaired his credit ALOT...So I will have a nice down payment to put on the 135i with the tax return money and selling all of the mods I currently have on the car, plus the money I save from work. I am looking foward to be a frequent member on here and post often(I got lots of post on my GTI forum, 5300+ post). Take care.

Hello
Hello all,
My name is Rich and I am considering a 1-series. I am currently a 21 year old college student who loves BMW, Ferrari, and VW products. I am very excited to be a part of the forum and contribute any bit of knowledge I run across. I sold my vehicle this past August, she (2004 VW Touareg) had run her course. My feet, NJTransit, and the family beater are my current means of getting around. Any other Bergen County folk on here? I hope so! I look forward to discussions and what other shenanigans go on here at 1Addicts. |

Hi, I'm from Johannesburg in South Africa. Have been an unwaivering BMW nut for around 15 years. Have previously driven 3 3-series 320 diesels over the past 10 years and was looking to move onto a petrol engined car "for that I6 sound" (although I may miss the economy of the diesels, but hey you can't win them all) when I saw the 135i being advertised and its been all downhill from then. I spend my time looking for the latest updates on the forum, looking for vidoes on Youtube etc. just to get more info.
Like many of you here, I am also running through the various colour and interior options and as I'm typing this waiting for my dealer to get back to me regarding allocations. (PS! I wish I only had to pay $35k for this baby!!!)

Welcome SA135i from another Southern Hemisphere member. I would imagine like Australia, SA would have a very small allocation of 135is, so it would pay to order early if you want to get a 1st shipment car. Otherwise you might have to wait a year for the 2nd shipment.
Any idea how much the 135 is going to be in SA? I'm going to be paying around US$70,000 for mine I think.:eyebulge:

Hi d3syd. The base price of the 135i is around ZAR364k (about AUD60k or USD52k - so no more bitching in the US about your expensive cars :wink
![]() I will probably add the sports kit, xenon and the ipod usb adaptor (leather and Professional radio are standard) which will probably push the price up to around ZAR380k - 385k (still deciding on the sunroof option - another ZAR9k as I've been told it helps with resale). One good thing here in SA, is that we get the 261 wheels with the sport kit. I have a few contacts trying all they can to get me on the first batch of allotments. This is frustrating having to wait. I'm not sure whether to put my eggs in one basket and tie myself into one particular dealer or hope my contacts can find me one - will give them until early in the new year to come through, or else will have to take the plunge. As much as I don't want to wait, my current car only has 40k km's on the clock, so if I really have to I do have plenty of leeway.

Looks like you guys are cheaper than us. Cars above AUD$50k get hit with an additional luxury vehicles tax here. The sports kit and xenon are standard in Aus. I've heard that sunroofs are good for resale, but I just never use them and they also reduce your head room. I went for i-drive instead. Not sure what wheels I'm getting here actually.... don't mind either.
I ordered my car through a friend of a friend who is the GM of the 2 BMW dealers here in Tasmania. So I am pretty certain I'm going to get a 1st shipment car. They are only bringing in 200 1-coupes in the first year made up of 135s and the lesser 125/128 model, so it'll be a very rare car. Merry Christmas!

Hello all - posting cos I read our SAfrican and Aussie friends are paying through the nose and it made me happy; so am I! I was silently suffering you Americans talking about $40,000 packages when I'll be paying £37,000 for mine. Someone shares my pain!
I live in London and despite having been on the list for a coupé for some time, taking it for a spin and loving it, I've decided to wait till Sep for the 135i cabrio cos I want to own a convertible once in my life, while I'm still young! Yes yes I will now take your hairdresser/gay jokes...my mates have already started. Glad to be here. |

Hi All,
Manu over here from Irvine, California. I was not looking for a new car untill I came upon this forum, now I am hooked on the 135i. I am still not sure how I can justify this to the missus, but I am goint to have to find a solution. I am looking forward to ordering my AW 135i in Spring and meeting up with fellow members. Cheers, Manu
