I completely missed (so did the "scoop" rendering) that HUGE wing!
WTF is that doing on there!?!? Great, now they're going after the Civic Type-R crowd too! I just can't get my hear wrapped around daily driving a car with that huge wing, unless it's a GT3/RS. Anything else will have people laughing at you when you get out of your car at a client. Embarrassing

The new Supra is a sister car to the non-M Z4 so those power figures are just about right. Given it will likely be priced slightly less than the Z4, it is unrealistic to expect it to have GTR or NSX level power. The MZ4 won’t be out until couple years after regular model launch so the Supra sure as hell isn’t going to get the M engine at launch, if ever.
I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing for Toyota either. They need a halo car that is financially approachable by many enthusiasts. The LFA - as much $$ as they poured and lost on it - did little to raise their brand’s “sports” reputation because most people don’t even know about it.

I ***despise*** what the Euro pedestrian protection BS regs have done to the profiles of low slung cars. What are they worth, 5, 6, 10 broken legs saved? Bah.
Want to see a proper sports car profile? GT40, S2000, some others I'm sure but those jump to mind. |

I do agree that the high shoulder, short greenhouse look can't go away soon enough. Some brands have done better with it than others, Aston Martin and Jaguar come to mind. But most modern sports cars look way too porky.

It looks like a Nissan GT-R and Dodge Viper had a baby.
