I just don't work like that, I need to see the space and the measurements and the century they want the shit from. I don't do boring. I don't do normal. I do pieces that demand attention and they stand alone. No clutter needed.

It's almost funny that I actually approach every flat I go donate shit to just like that.

The temperatures are finally getting lower here, and it seems like we will have an other 20 c drop soon. I have no clue how this house handles really cold temps

We've got the heating gear all set up, don't worry. I'm more worried about the external beauties like did I manage to kill all the holes rats could get in? Am I still man enough to go to the woods when it's-20 c to harvest the next years firewood and why can't I go for more than 10 hours when it gets cold without checking in on my aunt? Today I even took her groceries which was totally credible since I would totally shop for gluten free shit by accident.

I'll be fifty before this book thing is sorted. You'd be happy to know that Kafka got shelf space today, but Päätalo's every book ever written are not yet filed.

My scariest teacher, Mrs Kaskelma had one thing going for her. She picked epic books for us kids to read. She was older than earth but she made us read a ton of classics from your best writers too, and also from a little known Finnish writers. She held translators to a standard I still uphold.

That all said, she said she had to read in university all Päätalo's works. She told us she considers him torture. I'm still so scared of her, I will not be forming my own opinion.

It's interesting to go through these books. There are the books of six people stored here, all before my time here and my dad's books will be added to this, and mine too. My great uncles sister was a hard leftist, died in the seventies but it's not even what the books were printed with, it's her handling in the sides making notes to them.
