The styling is a little overwrought but otherwise it's one of the more beautiful designs we have seen from any manufacture of late outside of maybe Alpha and without a doubt the most stunning exterior design to come from a Japanese manufacturer since the FD RX-7. I'm really looking forward to this car.

Because those rear vents do absolutely nothing and they know it.

The first person to offer a normal front bumper will make a lot of money.

Yeah, it's still 18.3" longer than a Miata and 1,050 pounds heavier. Apparently the internet is full of fools.

These small sport cars are a means of escape. During the 80's and 90's, we didn't have internet so these cars were popular back then. Now you got internet, video games, augmented reality, and so on so the need for these cars are no longer something you have to have. To be honest, personally, I don't really care for these cars as much as before.

The future whether you like it or not is in electric, autonomous driving.

Maybe for my kid, not for me though. I'll drive a manual, ICE car until this whole operation shuts down.

Well the young generations are probably more into iPhones, tweeter, fb ... I don't think they think about cars the way people do in the 80's or 90's. For them cars are basically a mean to get from one place to another, and even better if they don't have to do the driving.

To me fully autonomous is still a long way from now. I don't think it's the technology. Maybe inherently it's not possible since software can't really 100% emulate the way our brains think when we drive.

In general this may be true, but my 11 yr old would beg to differ as well a few of his friends. He wants nothing more than to drive a manual shit box for his first car (bc I won't let him get a RWD Nissan anything that he wants).

Not really. A growing number of young people like stuff from the 80s and 90s. All you need to do is go to a song from the 90s and see the comments. Kids are all saying how they wish they grew up back then, 80s synth music, and those colors they used.

The human heart is still the human heart. The same things drive them that drove you when you were in your teens - the need to be free and wild.
