135 I could see it costing 15k over 10 years. turbo's waterpump therm injectors might be 10k right there at the dealer.

There was a thread about this previously a few months ago when data was published. If I recall there were some further stats that showed some numbers that proved the BMW avg. doesn't make sense (something like the avg. for the brand was higher than the most expensive model, which is mathematically impossible).

Pretty easy to spend 1800 a year on these cars though! Especially if they are estimating based on dealer cost....

If I brought car to dealer every time I had an issue....the costs would easily exceed 15k
I have dropped at least 8k doing maintenance myself which makes this the most expensive car to maintain in my books. Still love my car but it's a maintenance whore. |

Makes sense when oil changes can be like $400 at a dealer.
Then, fact in spark plugs, fluid flushes, brakes, etc. over the course of 10 years. Add depreciation on top of that and ... |
