I think the mold already equipped in Mexico factory.

Front bumper:

Rear bumper:

Compare to purported earlier leak of 2 Series:

There is always the GT4. This 2 is starting to look like a cross over SUV .

Yes the one I saw looked more masculine. Seems they have gone for the more feminine choice. Maybe they might hold the other version for the M2? But I would not hold my breath.

I preferred the other Vision. It was the /CS 2002 homage brought to life even though the new headlights seem influenced from the 2002. The body work seems to be influenced from both as well. With the Motorsport inspired arch seams removed.

But I liked the thinner grille, it had a real retro-future vibe to it.

Initial thoughts to me is that this design is going to have a similar effect as the 2er Gran Coupe - the front, while acceptable, is going to look good at some angles, not so good at other angles. The rear, not liking it at all. Nothing BMW about the rear. What could have been something great, appears to be lacklustre.

All this nonsense about BMW design being too predictable, can't tell one model from another across generations - this new design direction, you can't even tell it's a BMW without the roundel.

Everyone's talking about the grilles and lights but am I the only one that's glad to see a normal hoffmeister kink again?

Hmm, the rear looks a bit weird and a bit more like a facelift than a whole new design, and headlights remind me of the F30, but happy to see a proper kink and grills that aren't extremely large.

I like it.Might not be the most exciting design but it looks like a good enough design to create a great looking M2.It has a nicely proportioned kidney grille and the tail lights look much better than the narrow ones on the G20 and G22.Those rear hips also look great. They look almost as big as the ones on the current M2.Thanks BMW for not ruining the new 2 series with those huge ugly 4 series kidney grilles.

E36M3 had mesh or slats. I liked both.

Which is fine because the design allowed it. Slats filing in what would have been a cavity covered by the mesh takes away any sort of depth to the front which is why when you look at the G22 dead straight, it looks awkward.

Looks alright.

I'm more concerned about driving dynamics and raw feel. I hope they still keep that...

Glad the grills aren't showing the overgrown vertical trend.

I was very hopeful to get a CSL-Homage inspired M2

Originally looked at the pictures on the phone. The middle looks fine but yes the side vents should stay mesh.

The render does not look good. The front is disproportional to say the least.

You mean massive body roll, a steering system that is not connected to the front wheels, and the engine note played through the speaker system?!?!?!?!

Thank god for that front end. Kidneys are perfect. M2 should look mint.
