This is the main reason why I'm not planning on tuning mine at all, I think the gearbox is pretty maxxed out already or BMW would've juiced up the S68 more so it comfortably beat the F90 in acceleration tests. |

'18, they seem to go in 4 year increments. Would be a pretty big change for a LCI/CS but I bet we'll see the 5th gen in the next X5/X6M either way

An M8 with packages a well equipped G90 has is maybe 10-15k more expensive. No need to mention you can own a 150k almost fully loaded M8 with less money than a 130k G90 due to discounts and incentives…

Well if I check all the boxes in G8x xDrive build, I will end up a car which is more luxury ( including full leather) with more packages ( including all CF) , less expensive, much lighter, much smaller , more nimble and much better handling car and most probably as quick ( or even quicker) in 0-60 and 1/4 mile. And I can park it everywhere BTW this is the first time I would pick M3 over M5 over all generations…

Can’t deny the performance the M3 brings but I couldn’t get one for the following reasons.
Too small Pig Nose Too stiff for crappy NYC roads Every kid wearing a hoody has one driving like an asshole.

Rear seats are significantly less usable/comfortable, front seats less comfortable (a synonym for luxury when it comes to seating), inferior carbon fiber (no silver thread), doesn't have any of the 7 series trickle down stuff like the whole center console/selector area, surround lightbar, steering wheel, m-drive assist professional unit, no alcantara headliner. HK vs B&W sound system, no rear wheel steer... it adds up when you dive a bit deeper then leather. Then there's the pig nose, overall aging model with a new 3 series incoming, stiff ride you won't use most of the time |
