The amount of ignorance on this board (and society, in general) is appaling.

People who try to pass this off as "it's just words" and "he only directed it at one person" need to really wake-the-fuck up. Michael Richards has some serious problems with African-Americans (and perhaps rage, anger, etc.) and it was absolutely disgusting for him to say those things. He has lost an enormous amount of respect from society and he knows it......

So where's the ignorance? I understand the n word is hateful. If it's such a hateful word, why does the african american population still allow it's use by entertainers that are african american? Because it's just a word and depending on context it has different meanings.

Nobody's arguing what Richards did was right or justifiable. I'm arguing that it only matters as much as you let it matter.

And I've been called the "N" word in those schools by those not in my color scheme.
