Disagree.

Experience > GPA, school name IMO. Tell your son to go for the most relevant experience. This is what will set him apart from those guys who try to get 4.0s by taking the minimum credits every year, or from people with the same or similar gpa as your son. The school name helps attract campus recruiters.

I did 4 internships and when looking for a full time job that is all I ever talked about during interviews.

Im still in college working full time going to school at night. My one professor got it into our heads to write down as much as we could on our resumes. Experience with any place is better.

IMO id go for the higher paying job and its one more job I would add to my resume including.

Money is not the issue, financially he is fine - with a little bit of my support. The way he is figuring it now is that his boss agreed that if the left the company now he will still be able to put it on his resume, and he would even write him a reference letter. So presumably he has nothing to lose by taking on a new job for the summer that isn't an internship? I haven't really approved of the whole panting gig from the beginning because I've always thought it was a pyramid scheme. I'm supporting him in whatever he decides, but as of now he is leaning towards calling it quits.
