I dont understand the war on oil and trying to contol iraqs oil fields. with our prices going up? course alot of those were close to tapped and their country was in shambles and I believe they lied about how much oil they had.
The real question is technically oil should go down once we get the go ahead to drill in the dakotas. but how much will it go up.

I just pay whatever it costs. We're at around $1.19 litre up here and I live in Oil country. Plus we have 3 vehicles and two run on premium. Nothing anyone can do about it, except stop driving and that isn't gonna be happening anytime soon.

Gas prices are outrageous.

Good news though,

If anyone has a car that runs on e85, Thornton's gas stations across the US are selling E85 for $0.85/gal today from 7am to 3pm.

That's why I just bought a Chevy Cruze Eco for a beater. I drove about 130 miles yesterday and I got about 37mpg (mixed city/hwy). They claim it gets 40+ on the Hwy .

And I've read the 2wd 5.3L average 15 mpg in town if you're careful and the 6.0L 4x4's get single digits.

Anybody that still has one after the 2008 fuel prices needs their head checked.
I just checked an article on Edmunds.com

#1 selling vehicle of 2010:
#1 Ford F150
#3 Chevy Silverado 1500

The rest are Accords, Camrys, Corolla, CR-Vs etc, but Americans...we luv us some trucks Yeeeee Haaaaw!!!

Unless it is for work, I don't get the truck thing. IMO

Maybe the German car companies will finally bring their smaller engines here. Couple years ago we rented a C180 with a 1.8 liter turbo'd engine for our Germany vacation. It was fine driving it over there and it even moved pretty well on the autobahn. Wasn't bad on gas, either. Very comfy car. I've seen some sharp looking 1.8 3-series in Bermuda, too. We need such cars here.

And the Z4M's tank is tiny. I used to drive a Rolls-Royce and the tank was 27 gallons with a 3 gallon reserve. As I paid ~$60 to fill the Z4MC this week, I was imagining what I'd be paying for that (~$140).

GM is starting to get the picture. The Chevy Cruze was designed by Daewoo and GM's Opel division was responsible for the engineering. The car runs on gas and still gets 40+ on the hwy. There is a race to get the most mpg right now. Honda, Ford, and chevy will or already have cars right now that get 40+mpg hwy.

I'm not going to stop driving so that's why I bought a Cruze for a beater and take the 135i out occasionally.

See the thing is I don't want a more fuel efficient car I want a faster car.. And when you get a faster car the MPGs on it get worse... I just can't imagine paying more for gas it just crazy...
