Lol I should've clarified, I want to eventually get into Ducatis/MVs. If I do, I'll start off on a used Ninja 250 or something. But I completely agree with you.

I really wish I could take back that moment where I saw this thread and clicked play on the video and saw that thing at 4:50. Right when I wanted to get a bike too

Yeah... He went all Pez dispenser but by the looks of the video, it was entirely his fault. If you did that in a car you would also likely be very dead or close to it. This video is nothing compared to the images ingrained in my brain of the now famous "Porsche girl.". Now that was some fucked up shit...

As far as I can tell he still has his head. Stop it on 4:56 and you can see his head still on his torso...but the torso got split at the abdomen. He got cut in half! Holy eFFFFFFFFF!!! That dude as dead dead dead.

good to hear. The amount you can learn on a 250R is leaps and bounds more than you would learn on other bike. This is simply because of how confidence inspiring, light, agile and forgiving it is. With that said don't ride it for a month and move on. You will know when you are ready to move on.

Have you or do you plan on taking MSF/motorcycle training? Also what do you mean by "it wont be transportation"?

Group riding doesn't guarantee safety or security. Contrary to belief it can actually fuck you up. I only ride with a couple of close friends that I trust and know. That too is once in a while. Most of my rides are solo. This way you can set personal benchmarks and ride at your pace instead of someone else and you don't have to worry about what someone else is going to do, which in terms turns into babysitting someone while riding.

He went wide, I doubt he did it on purpose. I ride twisties with blind corners and going wide either means your in the forest or in another vehicle.

(Not directed at anyone in particular!)

BUT....it is truly sad how the media and internet have numbed people to the reality that is real life.

People just watched a person die and chat about it non-chalantly and critique the situation.

I wish that I could unclick this thread as watching a person die is not something I would ever want to see.

Softy...

In all seriousness, it's the media that's been shielding people from this type of thing for the last several decades which has made people more sensitive to it. Prior to that, death was much more of a part of life being literally everywhere in the early part of the last century. Videos like this should be used as a learning tool, not censored and covered in Nerf like the rest of our lives in recent years.

The ZX-6R has been top dog for the past 3 years. Buy one, when you're ready. You won't regret it. I have an 09 and it's an amazing bike. Upgrading to a 2012 S1KRR when they hit with new colors.

^^^I'm with kingofjericho! It's just like nudity in the US. Telling the truth and letting people see and experience REAL life is something we don't get here in the states. They try and shelter us so they can make us think the rest of the world is soooo terrible and evil. Just a bunch of propaganda. People die all the time. All you can do is hope your number doesn't get called out too soon.

It seems like all the truck driver had to do was swerve right half a meter but the camera makes it look a lot slower, reading the youtube comments bike was travelling at 180mph.

Apparently the rider just got the bike that day and was drunk.

And there was a passenger.

haha. i wasnt paying attention to what i typed earlier. i actually signed up for the MSF with the assumption of the whole thing waiving the DMV test.

as for the transportation thing. some people drive motorcycles as an everyday transportation to get to places. i dont think ill make it my daily driver. i met a guy who is a part of pinoy harleys and that's where i got the idea of it being safer. the guy is in his early 50s and very mature and level headed and that would be the kind of crowd that i'd like to be riding with. im very picky with people that i hang out with.

CF full Akra Exhuast
CF Rear tire hugger
DDM Tuning 8k HID's
CF Rear seat cowl
CF front fender

That's it for now. Bought her new last year and had some troubles, so no time to mod it. Now that it's fixed, I'm ready to make her mine.
