Sure, but both NASCAR and the FIA WRC are sanctioned with professional drivers with an array of safety features in the cars. The NASCAR tracks also have crash barriers and fencing that "should" protect the spectators in the event of a wreck, though it hasn't always been 100% effective. Granted, there is more of a danger to spectators surrounding a rally event. Common sense should dictate to never stand on the outside of a turn. I would be far less worried standing on the side of a rally stage however, than on the side of a public road while non-professional drivers perform these stunts.

Idiocy is certainly global. I just haven't seen or heard of this particular type of automotive activity anywhere else before.

Hm....
What's the point of this drifting...in...FWD? Are they using cafeterial trays on their back wheels? This has to the stupidest thing I've ever seen in this year. People are watching this idiots doing their drift in busy road and they just run away when they bump into other cars... These sand ass fockers are stupid. But it's pretty cool to see their emergency exit procedure in case of an accident..exiting as pieces. |

So that's where all those 10yr cars for export are going..
And I thought all this time they were getting a 2nd life in Pakistan, Afganistan etc. made good use of by modest families - not being TRASHED IN SAUDI ARABIA FOR SPORT |
