43 miles each way to and from work every day starts to drag. 22k/year just to get to work. At least its all highway.

I was living at home and making $42/hr as an electrician when I was 18-20. It was worth it.

I like to hike and snow board as well and some of the good places to do that are not near the coast... but on TV, which is how most tourist base their ideas... you see those states in particular.

FYI, I didn't actually take this drive. I drew the line to equal the 13000 miles I've driven, and where those miles could have taken me if it was a road trip.

Back in 2001 , i got a loaner from BMW(325i) for 3 months and I drove the sh*t out that thing. I put almost 6000 miles on it.
