I know exactly what I need to buy. In terms of food...I plan what I want to make for that entire week, and make a list (certain family members dawdle for >1 hour, looking at "interesting" stuff). When I want electronics, I use newegg/amazon. I don't buy much clothing, but if I do shop for clothing, I don't get more than I need.
