Parmagiana di melanzane
Eggplant Parmesan

So good and fairly simple. Ingredients are simply eggplant, cheese and marinara. I amped up the store bought marinara with a liberal dose of thyme, rosemary, oregano and basil. I added red pepper flakes and my girl chose not to!

I'm afraid not. They are made locally at the seafood factory. An elderly gentleman comes by with his refrigerated truck with several offerings including lobster, crab and a variety of fish fresh from the dock.

One of my favorites.

Chickpea stew (curry) on cumin rice with fresh cilantro and tadka of cumin seeds and red chili fried in oil and ghee.

One big benefit to living near an ocean. I miss fish cakes and baked beans.

But fish cakes just cry out for baked beans. I thought it was just a New England thing, but when we were at Conwy in Wales, fish cakes were popular there as well. There was a restaurant in MA where they served fish cakes and beans as sides for breakfast.

Now I'm hungry again.

Agreed. I asked to skip the peas and have beans instead. They obliged. I don't get the mushy pea thing.
