I've always laughed about this saying. Of course it's in the last place you look, because that's where you find it. Even if you find it the first time/first place; it's still the last place you look.

I almost always find it in the first place I looked, the first time. Then I think of that episode of The Twilight Zone where people are building the set a few minutes ahead of you. Sometimes we misplace a piece then add it back

Yeah I get that a lot and it's quite annoying. They even had a bit about that exact thing on the TV show King of Queens. Husband looking for scissors, asks, and the wife lays into him about how they are in the same drawer they've always been in.

Funny you should mention that. When I was down south a few months ago, I went two steps deep in an outdoor heated pool (standing) to soak my feet/shins. When I turned around to climb out, I noticed that both of my legs were extremely buoyant...to the point of having to force them down because they were floating like crazy. I have lost a lot of weight since the last time that I went swimming, and I have zero water bloat in my legs now. I'm shocked that skin and bones can float that well.....
