I just joined today. My Monaco/Terra 128i should be here in ~6 weeks. Right now, I have a 2006 Mk5 GTI with DSG. I love it to death, but it's kind of had a black cloud over it since it was involved in an accident. I'll definitely miss the DSG, since it's probably the best compromise between an automatic and a true manual without actually compromising anything. I guess I better start working my left leg again, since it's had a 2 year vacation. :wink:

i came late to this one... i wonder if i have too many posts to introduce myself. My name is Scotty, and I am a student that also happens to work for a dealership in his spare time. I am a convert from E90Post, not because something bad happened over there, but because I fell in love with this car when it came into the showroom!

I am going to pull the trigger on this guy for a July delivery, meaning I will order within the next month or so. Happy to be here, and I will try not to cause too much trouble.

hey guys, i'm from SA, ordered my 120d latter part feb, cant wait! But have to wait until early June. Went for the sedona red, m-sport package, auto aircon, xenon lights, and sunroof. Would have really liked comfort access, lights package, and sat-nav but then the price would have been spot on a 135i. We only have a choice between 120d, 125i, 135i here; and always wanted a diesel so was a no-brainer for me (insurance too high on 135i in any case)..

Was deciding between cars for months, thought of the c-class, but too 'kit-ish', upcoming a4, 3 series coupe.. my wife really loved the 3 series coupe, wasnt even thinking of 1 series coupe until i saw one at work and loved it immediately! so placed my order the same week.. wanted white but since my wife wanted 3 series let her choose the colour, and she went for the sedona red.. only draw back is that 120d doesnt get the chrome grill.. but i'd like the tii concept grill, looks wicked..

Hi im Michael and im an Addict. I have a problem. At work instead of working i venture onto 1addicts.com. I am a financial analyst. Watch the movie office space and you will know what my life is like. Thankfully just not as bad. I will be 23 the end of april.
Driven a 95 pontiac bonneville at 16(moms old car), leased a 2005 chevy cobalt at 20 and soon will be in a beautiful bmw. I plan on sticking to bmw from this point forward. After this car I plan on getting a house. after a house i plan on getting an x6 for those off road times. then a z4 to play with and track. after that an m3.
I was fixed on getting an evo x for the longest time. after being ignored at the dealership, mitsu not releasing any info whatsover on the mr and hearing about numerous issues with the gsr i decided to go with bmw.
This is my first car and im really excited. Im trying to get into modding and tracking. This forum has taught me a great deal about cars and modding. One local track is finally building a road course and 2 brand new tracks will be opening soon. I look forward to joining the local bmw chapter so i can track and learn even more.

Hello everyone. This forum is great. I am glad I came across this site before ordering. It is really cool to see everyone watching their ship and tracking their car through production and to eventual delivery. I look forward to experiencing the same anguish and excitement all at the same time. I ordered my car on 4/8/08. I was told today I will have a production number by 4/27/08. I pray I then get a production date in early May so I can be on a boat before June. I've learned so much from those who shared their experiences and the time intervals for each stage of the production/delivery process. Looking forward to the ride once I get my production# through the day I actually get to drive my new BMW for the first time. Happy 35th Birthday to myself!

Hey this is Frank, bought my 135i here in germany. I, luckily, have a four hour wait when mine completes production. It gets trucked from factory in Leipzig to Schweinfurt in three and a half hours, hot right off the line!

Mike here. I joined this forum a couple of weeks ago, after ordering my 135i.

Until I first read about the 1 a few months ago, I had no interest in ever buying a BMW. I still haven't told any friends & family about it, because they're pretty much from the "buy American", "BMW is a 'yuppimobile'" kind of crowd. I was too...before my test drive. :biggrin: I'll have to break the news to them in a way that doesn't get me disowned.

Hi I'm Alex. As I've been using this forum a lot (way too much) to inform myself about every little possible detail before ordering my 120d, I thought it would be only fair to introduce myself. I'll post some pics as soon as I get it (end of May). It will be a monaco blue, lemon interior, gloss black trims, etc. My first BMW
Thanks to all of you for all the useful info although at the beginning i was getting confused as the std options for the US were very different to those here in EU (especially the info concerning the speakers and audio equipment). Thanks again!
