Have you ever delivered a baby where the mother didnt know she was pregnant until she went into labor ? I've heard several stories of this; hard to believe how someone can be 9 months into it with no clue, but it actually happened to the (large) daughter of a woman my wife works with.

I know one. She was just about to turn 16 when she went into labor. I'd say it was more denial than not knowing though.

I'd be very mad at myself for fucking up with sex education and birth control lessons. Then I would go and hunt the dad's parents down, and have the same talk with them and then come up with solutions.


The kids are not to blame as much as adults who are supposed to teach them how to keep themselves safe.

Funny you say this because I was thinking if my 16 yo daughter got Preg. It would be my fault as a poor parent. I don't even want to think about it. currently have a 15 yo and 6...ughh.

Yes, but sadly I we don't think about it and open our mouths in time. If we don't make sure they start having sex for the right reasons, and that they realize what can happen, we are more likely to be trying to handle the aftermath.

There are a surprising number of cases where fully grown, adults, not living with parents, some of whom have already given birth before, who make it all the way to delivery without knowing they were pregnant !
