My new to me Ghost was dropped off on Monday, this was one of the sickest specs I’ve ever seen that isn’t a black badge car. It was a special commission created by Rolls Royce own designers for their 2019 Pebble Beach display with around $120k in options. Matte/satin white factory paint with cobalt blue interior, white piano wood, blue starlight headliner (pretty cool touch, never seen it with different light color), bespoke audio system, etc. $437k sticker on this one which is the highest I’ve seen for a pre-2021 redesign Ghost without the black badge package. Only 7k miles on it and looks mint inside and out.

Loved the 458 but you just feel like such a boss driving this thing, just need to have a Rolls in the garage at all times.

Congratulations! And I agree with this over a 458.

Looks great! Love what RR is doing these days. Proportions, rear-hinged doors, presence, powertrain, interior design and materials, it all works.

There’s really nothing like it. Drove the new Bentleys and it’s not even close (have not driven a Mulsanne to be fair).

IMO these cars also have the best seat height/position of any car. The suspension is pure magic.

stunning

driving a rolls is still on my automotive bucket list. does it feel big to drive? like it would be hard to maneuver or park? or does it kind of shrink around you once you get going ?

Not at all compared to what you’d expect. It’s surprisingly fast and nimble with lane changes, obviously going around corners it’s going to feel heavy because it is. I feel like it’s similar to driving any large SUV. The Phantom was a different story, I drove a Phantom coupe and it felt like a massive boat and was noticeably slower.

The older I get the more I just want to ride around in comfort and nothing beats a Rolls for that. Hard to describe the feeling of driving it until you do it yourself.

Love the paint. The blue is a bit much, for myself, but still works. Congrats!

I'd run it up to Park City for a few days before the snow arrives.

• you'll dump it by Christmas

I love the bold interior colors, mandarin orange and cobalt blue at the top of my list, mugello red third.

Christmas is a little early, but everything is always for sale at the right price. If I found an epic spec black badge car to replace it I could be convinced…

458 is a great car no doubt, absolutely loved driving it. That said, the Rolls is more usable, everything is higher quality, it doesn’t have the Ferrari PITA issues (sticky buttons, battery problems, dumb error messages related to said battery problems, having to plug it in every time, etc), the sound system is way better, and the ride is like nothing else. Obviously they’re two very different cars. I also put $70k back in my pocket with the trade so that’s nice.

I could care less what anyone thinks it looks like, that has zero bearing on purchase decisions. IYKYK, and if you mistake a Ghost for a Chrysler you definitely don’t know lol.

If you haven’t driven one you really should, it’s an awesome experience despite not having a 9k rpm screaming V8. In a perfect world I’d have both but I’m still too poor for that.

I'm sure it is a dream to drive and I didn't mean to dog it..it's just that the 458 is one of those wow! cars that just snaps necks, where the Ghost is a four door sedan that Chrysler tried to knock off... Two incomparable cars, but I'm a 458 fan boy that would have been buried in that thing

Believe me I’m a 458 fanboy too, that was my dream since the day it came out. I got to drive it for free for 6 months and put 2k miles on it, can’t beat that. I bought a 997 GTS to scratch the sports car itch and both that and the Rolls were close to the same cost as just the 458. Rolls is 5 years newer with almost a third of the mileage too. There will be another 458 one day for sure.

I'm all about that era sports car, and the 458 is peak Ferrari IMHO, but at the end of the day, how often would that car be driven compared to a Rolls? A fraction of the time...

Personally, I love the concept of a used Alpina would be awesome (but not so much out of warranty)

997 GTS have absolutely gone bezerk. Like to the point where I don't see value vs a comparable C2S and I am the world's biggest GTS fanboy.

458 Speciale or 488 Pista. There is that small issue of each selling for over 500K that gets in the way

I had a 997.2 4S before and there’s a noticeable difference in how the GTS drives and power delivery. Worth the premium IMO. Manuals have gone nuts but PDKs are still reasonable. I got a heavily optioned (134k sticker) PDK cab with 15k miles and Fidelity Platinum warranty for low 80s. Dealers are asking that for cars with 3x the miles

Never had to grow on me...It was love at first sight

just trying to figure out if I should sell the gunmetal set of wheels and tires since I like the silver set up better or just keep them and swap them out once in awhile to change it up now and then....

The silver wheels are the way to go.
