We've had very light snow here since mid-morning, totaling just over an inch by the evening. NWS still says that we may get another 1-2 inches overnight, then into the arctic freezer by the end of the weekend with lows nearing 0 F-ing degrees.....

We had about 3 inches of snow total from this latest storm. The local meteorological definition of a white Christmas is one inch of snow on the ground on Christmas morning. With four days until the big day and highs forecast to stay below or near freezing until then, I guess that we'll be close to having enough snow left.....

***It's just really cold (23 degrees!) in my area right now with light snow. I'm not a big fan of the cold nor the snow and prefer warmer climates, in addition to hot tea vs iced, and long walks on the beach on moonlit nights, a bit of wine...

Last night's low here was -4.2 F-rigid degrees or -20 Canadian degrees, cold enough for Frosty the Snowman's snowballs to get sucked up into his chest to stay warm.....

Nothing like being rattled out of bed at oh-dark-thirty by a passing snow plow on Christmas Eve morning. We were blessed with another two inches of the white crap overnight from a passing clipper system. The high today is forecast to be around 37 F, and we need at least one inch of the current ~3" to survive tonight so that we can have a meteorological white Christmas tomorrow morning.....

Per the NYC TV news talking heads, the National Weather Service measured 1 inch of snow in Central Park yesterday morning and declared that NYC had a white Christmas as well.

Last night's low was forecast to be 14 F, but actually wound up being 5 F-rigid degrees.....

Western Oregon seems to have settled into a pattern of cool rain with frequent fog. No freezing temps for quite a while now.

Our new house has a short but steep driveway. If and when we get freezing rain or ice it could be real interesting!
