Lmfao at the trunk shock sound and the front bumper fitment issues! That and the good open on one side keeping the car from going into gear. The 50% price hike on SMG pumps this year is tough to stomach. Just another reminder of how badly SMG sucks...

lol~ this video is great. That trunk shock, the sagging front bumper, the rock chips - all make me feel so nostalgic.
I owned a 2003 Laguna Seca Blue 6-speed coupe from 2005-2011 and to date, I haven't met any car community that brought together folks like the e46 M3 did in its golden days. We had BBQs in NorCal with 50+ M3s showing up, a lot of us all becoming personal friends over the years. I will never forget the smell and perfection of the plush nappa leather in a 4 mile e46 M3 on the showrooom floor, when owner religiously followed maintenance to the T, and getting a clean used e46 M3 for under $40k was so hard to come by. Sad to see these cars being thrown around and beat up by kids. Same with G35s - the coupes were drop dead gorgeous when the first came out. The e46 really is a better "M" car. Raw, nimble, heavy and heavy steering. Like the car though, I grew up too and need a car with modern create comforts non-existent in "2000" era cars, which is why I own a e92 today. e92 nor the f82 which I've driven a couple times will never stir my soul like the e46 did though. Back in 2001, wait list was 1-2 years and e46 M3 had the hype just like Porsche GT cars of today have. Everyone just had to have a e46 M3 - one of the most handsome, beautiful and classic designs ever to come from BMW. |
