They probably dont know how many cars were affected. As long as the employees dont pass out on the assembly line, i think they're allowed to work. Lol

My car has been rattle/squeak free and pretty reliable, i'd assume they were sober when they put mine together.

This should be an easy firing. Not sure how Germany works but here they wouldn't qualify for unemployment either and for good reason.

These guys were responsible for creating the steering feel on the M3 and M4. BMW confirmed their roles will not be filled as this task was considered unnecessary going forward.

Munich, March 20th, 3017

In today's Merkur.de (a Munich)newspaper... it has been reported that two employee's were so incapacitated, that EMT's were called in and the production line was stopped for forty minutes - back in early March. Seems the two employee's were drinking quite a lot of alcohol that day and then the decided to per take in some synthetic marijuana(called Spice over here). They were so incapacitated, they couldn't finish their work shift and passed out on the production "line". Their fellow coworkers called in the EMT emergency doctors and were taken to the hospital.

The incident happened in early March at the Munich Plant (3er sedans and wagons and M4's are made here). BMW AG acknowledges that this worker incident - cost BMW AG somewhere in the "five digits" - to stop the production line. "The damage amounts to an average five-digit amount," said the BMW spokesman.

This was the first time ever in BMW"s history, that the production line had to be stopped - due to an employee(s) being on alcohol or drugs. The future of these two BMW employees is uncertain.

That hasn't happen yet, right? It's something that might happen in the future, as a matter of fact it will happen on March 20th. 3017.....
