I don't have a bag packed per se.. (young boys prowling about)
I've thought about what I wanted to grab and know where everything is so i'm confident I could get it together in a couple of minutes. 12 gauge pump 4" .357 mag cash stash of canned food and water streamlight butane lighter folding knife etc, etc

I've never heard of it referred to as a Go bag before. I usually hear the term Bug Out Bag or Emergency Bag. Water purifier, granola bars, first aid kit, solar blanket, lighter (I'm a bitch and I don't know how to start a fire, I know), hand crank flashlight, fixed blade knife, AR-15 with some ammo.

It gets weirder. I'm allergic to fish. I would fish for my family, and I guess I'll have to save the canned stuff for myself.

I'm willing to risk it. I ate 18 years of my life horrible food cooked by a kitchen monster. I can't even again.

Chances are you don't want to eat the fish you catch anyway. They probably glow in the dark.

Totally! A little garlic, some rosemary, salt and pepper and I'll be on it! I'll even fatten them up with their canned foods first to better the flavor!

That sounds like a bit much, anyone named rosemary would be so old no amount of time would ripen the meat.

You still need to let it hand, and rosemary age meat ain't gonna benefit from a meat hammer!
Meat hammer. That could be a name for a porn flick. Rosemary meets meat hammer. I'll go now. It's raining and I'm bored. And I still haven't figured out what a shatchel is.

My wife and I actually have bug-out bags. I like to be prepared. both bags have 2 MREs, change of clothes and what not, toiletries, a "water filtration device", and a sleeping bag. Mine has a tent attached and more tools sort of say. My wife's is geared more toward supplies for the dogs. Living in Florida and during hurricane season, near the coast, yea I'm gonna have bugout bags. I don't know if I have to evac or if I lose power how long I'm going to be out. (I have 5 boxes of MREs and 4 cases of water).
Maybe I'm crazy...but I don't have a gun, just hand to hand defenses. |
