Yea, it's insane. $6700 plus installation. They charged me $400 to swap out my interior trim.

Not relive an old thread. I bought a bottle of the sonax wheel cleaner plus. I feel like I used half a 1/3 of the bottle if not a little more. Not costeffective whatsoever. HOWEVER, it does freaking work. I didn’t touch the wheels at all, and i think for it did a pretty damn good job. If there’s any spots of brake dust. I’m sure it’s because I missed it with the sonax. I did use a pressure washer. The wheels had 350 mile so in since it’s last wash and i have to say I was really impressed. I bought a whole gallon for whenever i don’t feel like scrubbing the wheels lol. Was curious to try Adam’s wheel cleaner too since it’s a little cheaper. Would love feedback on anyone who has used it.

How did you get the car onto 4 axel stands? I'd you jack from a different location to the 4 jacking points??
Same here I used Gtechniq C5 coating once a yeah and allows most of the dust to be hosed off, then sonax wheel cleaner gets the final pat's off with a dedicated wash mitt and brush, use a small round detailing brush for the bolts and around the valve. Rise off and apply Gtech C2 liquid crystal.

Wow, seeing the last few techniques made me feel relieved. I thought I was the only one super anal to pull wheels off to clean them. I did that once the old fashion way, one wheel at a time, even though I have a 2.5T carjack (waiting to get decent carjack adapters for the M4).
However, the dirt that accumulates is so light now, that I just put my hand in the wheel and wash/clean/dry it that way. For the caliper section, I wait 'til I'm done with all four, to move the car a few inches to get that section done.

I switched my break pads out and I just use P&S Breakbuster. I am getting it down to a science now and spend less time cleaning them.

On a scale of 1-10 (1 being no dust and 10 being dust from OEM pads)…..where would you related dust accumulation from these new pads? |

When I ordered my pads, there wasn't much selection. I went with DFC3000 pads for front an Centric ceramic pads for rear. I will say the dust level for front pads are about a 5 compared to oem and rear is virtually 0. Stopping power is great, not oem but I don't track my car. I had my friend who is a BMW tech install mine.

Never had a issue with service on any BMW I've owned. I have 4 cars and all of them have ceramic pads. It's the first thing I do when I purchase a bmw. I can't take the dirty wheels.
