While morbid, that exercise gives me some focus, moves me back onto a track I want to be on. Sure there'll be shitty times, everyone including me and Frodo thinks their lives are terrible, but like Gandalf says, "We need only decide what we want to do with the time that's given to us." It's just a few tens of years, make it worthwhile. It's really up to the individual what his life ends up being. People can tell you so many things, but at the end of the day it's what you think of yourself that matters. P.S. It really doesn't matter to me whether the OP is just trying to get himself banned, because I know there will be people out there who read the forum, feel depressed, but don't post. I hope some of the posts help them in some way. I know that especially in these times more people need help. I hit a pothole a couple of days ago, and was a little upset about it. Until the tow truck driver asked me whether I think he'll get the missing 50% of his 401k back within these last few years of his life. After that, my problems felt miniscule... |

It would be diffucult for us to provide any advice to you unless any of us experienced the same thing you are going through. Depression is a difficult thing to overcome if you don't have the will to fight through it. I have a close friend who was raped by her father and uncle when she was a child and was depressed for the most part of her life. Her father would verbally and physically abuse her. She went through phases where she wanted to take her life. Fortunately, she decided to prove (to her father) that her life meant something so she putting herself through college and she has lived abroad to get another perspective on life. She has been doing well with herself and always has a smile on her face now. She used who caused her depression as motivation to prove that person wrong.
Take that for what its worth. Life can suck balls for sure, and society can bring people down. But its like what Rocky says "It's not how hard you hit, but how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward" |

The only person that can hurt you, is yourself. People will be cruel..it's your decision whether you want those hurtful things to affect you.
From what it sounds like, people don't really seem to be the true problem here. The culprit is your self respect. You don't go to school, you don't work, you don't socialize...you basically don't do sh*t. You are depriving yourself of life's joys and accomplishments. You have no self worth and it's eating you alive. Why??? Cuz you aren't getting a grade for staying up late studying...or receiving a paycheck for your hard work...or a pat on the shoulder from a fulfilling friendship. You need to go out there and stimulate your emotions! Don't fear failure or ridicule. Each "F" you receive on a test makes each "A" that much more gratifying. Each time you get fired from one job, gives you the opportunity to find something even better for yourself. Each friend that stabs you in the back will help you strengthen the bond with the ones that truly matter. You have no give and return in your life, so of course your body (physically and mentally) just feels like shit. I hate waking up at 4am and going to work, but at least I know that for the next 8 hours or so, i have a purpose. You need to wake up, and have something to wake up for. You're letting ignorant strangers rob you of your right to experience the knowledge of failure, and the joys of success. So you have a small penis, or a little overweight...OWN IT! Work it, or change it...just don't sulk about it. I'm a skinny asian guy that's not all that great looking. my eyes aren't really almond shaped, they're more like sunflower seed shaped (real chinky). i hate how it looks, but i just think it gives me the benefit of seeing life in wide screen view. i accidentally farted out loud while talking to my HR manager. it was embarrassing, but watching him try and keep a straight face was priceless. Your physical faults will provide benefits you need to discover, while embarrassing moments will create some of the best stories to tell. 1. grab your balls and own who you are 2. go out and do something to better yourself 3. appreciate the ones who love you, then take your little penis and fuck those who don't |

Risk
To laugh is to risk appearing the fool To weep is to risk appearing sentimental To reach out for another is to risk involvement To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self To play your ideas, your dreams before the crowd is to risk their loss To love is to risk not being loved in return To live is to risk dying To hope is to risk despair To try is to risk failure But risk must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing and is nothing He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he simply cannot learn to feel, change, grow, love. Chained by his certitudes, he is a slave He has forfeited freedom Only a person who risks.....is free

to the OP: dude if you are getting professional help, do what they tell you or at least try to do some of the things the guys on this thread tell you. if you sit at home and shoot every idea down looking for something "comforting" to be said then you will never get out of your situation. get out their with some energy and fuck any negative comments you get from anyone. things are only what you make of them. |

Good advice.. but considering the guy describes himself as very out of shape, I don't think he needs to start working out for an hour and a half a day. Starting off with a few light work outs weekly would be a great start. |
