178 KPH in an 80KPH zone
Got the notification in post since it was a camera. No admission of guilt fine must appear in court!! Had some help with the prosecutor and got away with a $1800 fine! |

i don't know, but i would feel embarrassed talking to officer like that. I feel like a b1tch talking in that tone, lol. I would just just say simple no or yes, sounds more realistic IMO.

I got arrested at 160 (reckless driving)in my Supra TT, back in the days.. it was 5am on Jan 01st, not a soul on I-95.
The disguisting part is that the cop was in love with my car, and all the way to the station he wouldn't shut up about his own POS Mitsubishi Eclipse Turbo FWD that he had souped up... Hypocrite.

i got pulled over once in my GT30r EvoIX lasered at 136mph in a unspecified zone in Santa Monica, went to jail immediately to only be cited out with 3 tickets, the cop was super cool that he didnt even show up to court, picked up my car the same night, a nice pit stop in jail. i got it all dismissed without paying a cent, except for the $600 i had to pay to get my car out of impound, the gat was closed +100, flatbed +100.. funny story, i recently told my parents and they thanked me for getting an M3

i got pulled over for doing 98 in a 65 at the ripe young age of 16. After nearly shitting my pants and being polite the officer gave me a ticket for going 70 i did traffic school and it went away.

78 in a 45 (Construction- double ticket). State Trooper, the construction signs were put up the night before (road work ahead) and no work had been started/ no cones. Cops were there to "raise awareness"- yeah right- raise cash.
Had to hire a lawyer- $500 for him, $200 ticket- failure to follow posted traffic sign and 2 or 3 points. Was looking at 11-12 points with possible suspension and $500 to $600 in fines- since everything is doubled in construction areas. |

i was going really fast in our old 7-series...
cop pulled me over and said i was going 99 on a 65 (i was probably over 100). Wrote me up for 90 on a 65. Went to court (pleaded guilty and got the ticket reduced to 130dollars + traffic school) |

I don't speed... as for as New York State law enforcement is concerned.
Otherwise... 145 in 55... hypothetically.

Glad the title wasn't 'fastest POTENTIAL speeding ticket' . Mine was 10 over on my motorcycle, but was going 20 over. Was nice to the officer, and politely told him it was my first ticket, if he could give me a break, and he put 10 over. I've been lucky, but always speed when lonely, pretend don't have a V1 (meaning slowing down on hills, slowing down if oncoming cars could be cops, etc.), and always on deserted highways during the day. Hope I never get caught, but I usually don't exceed 100 mph, so I don't end up in jail. Hard for an honest cop to justify 'racing', or 'reckless driving' when by yourself on a sports car. But you never know. What we should always do is pull over as soon as you know you're busted; otherwise you're pushing your luck with a pissed off LEO .
And no, no tickets on the M3 yet, but I'd gladly swap any ticket for my accident . |

I highly doubt this knowing the recent police ticketing in California. However since most the jails are so full in california, you would be surprised what little amount of people get arrested. I was a witness to an accident where the driver had a revoked license for DUI's and no insurance. He should have gone to jail, but they let someone drive him home. California is screwed up. Your friend is soon to be a registered felon in the state of California depends on his court date. With any speed exceeding 120 is considering wreckless driving, not just a traffic violation like most speeding tickets. SUSPENSION BY CALIFORNIA TRAFFIC COURT A judge may suspend a person’s license if convicted of the following: Breaking speed laws or reckless driving. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Hit-and-run driving. Engaging in lewd conduct and prostitution in a vehicle within 1000 feet of a residence. Assaulting a driver, passenger, bicyclist, or pedestrian when the offense occurs on a highway (road rage). Failure to stop as required at a railway grade crossing. Felony or misdemeanor offense of recklessly fleeing a law enforcement officer. The underlined one made me laugh though. I remember a thread on here about guys complaining about the back seat room LOL

I was cruising at what i thought was 110 when I noticed a car behind me.... figured it was some other faster car so I proceeded to get over for him only to look back a second later with his lights on I was doing a 117 in a 75.. but the cop was pretty cool about it and marked it down to 95, still a 6 point ticket |

19 over is the only ticket I've gotten... But I've been very blessed to not have something worse.
And FYI that Koenigsegg ticket was done during the Gumball Rally, think the CCX was trying to make up some time. Too cool though, must have been some glassy smooth roads to do that type of speed.

Ehhh..... Busted for doing 63 in a 35, but the cop claimed it was a 15mph school zone (It wasn't, it was in front of my college, which I was late to). I believe it was something towards 8-10pts and the possibility of license suspension but I talked to the DA and got it dropped down to ~$500 in fines, no points.
