Lol...yeah, cabling is not a lost art on me. It took some time to get all the wires in the wall since the basement was already finished before i started the project.

Ignore the small black speakers mounted on the wall, they are not currently used. They were part of the original HTIB system that I started with but nearly everything has been upgraded since then. I might use them later for the front height speakers later when I upgrade the receiver.

SERIOUSLY 4 SVS???? My god that must beat your heart back into working order. I was looking at their ENTRY level subs before I moved into a townhome, and it was loud and deep enough I thought (for now, until I got something bigger, haha)

I've actually had pretty good luck streaming 15gig 1080p files wirelessly with a cisco router. Maybe 2 hiccups in 4 months. They were annoying enough though to just wire it in.

The manufactures website us bdiusa.com

But check froogle.com for best prices, and go to ur local retailer and see if they will match the best online price, they did for me.

I've also seen them on sell at Magnolia Best Buys.

Because the cleanest solution for hanging a TV on the wall would be to run the wires through the wall. With an ever expanding set of components you'd constantly have to run new wires through the wall or prewire the wall full of cables which will eventually become outdated.

not only that, but people that mount TVs on the wall mount them way too high.... the correct position is still at level viewing height. You start losing clarity/color if you're out of the ideal viewing angle of the tv, and the vertical viewing angle is much more limited than the horizontal.

In addition to my dedicated theater room, I also have a 55" Sony 3DTV that is sitting on a tv stand for the ideal height. 3DTVs are even more susceptible to limited viewing angles for the best 3D experience.

edit: here is a quick pic of my living room setup this morning... currently running 24 hours le mans in GT5

Sony 55" 240hz LED 3DTV
Pioneer VSX-2010
Sony PS3 Slim
Xbox 360 Slim with Kinect
Toshiba HDDVD
Verizon FIOS HD-DVR
JBL S series speakers
The computer tower next to it houses 10tb of videos
