Not that I hate on MB... im actually a big fan (of course i love BMW's more) If service is what your worried about, Mercedes has been dropping in their servicing more and more everyday. My E class is having problems more than a sick child now and servicing is not helping. (currently in lemon law suit because so many problems that service is creating)
good luck though, hopefully you will like your 335

wow! Im a Bimmer advocate and I am stunned that out of ALLLLLLLLL the negative things you could have said about MB you chose the interior. Dude, Bimmer interiors fuckin suck. Hell yeah I do, that's why I'll be trading up to an M3 next year. I was supposed to get a 335i a few weeks ago, but both buyers considering my 330i fell through due to credit issues. I was pissed at first, but the more that I thought about it, the more that I couldn't help but think that my dilemma happened for a reason. God wants me to have the M3.

Got to tell you he's right! I love bimmers too but I must admit I've been a bit disappointed with the interiors...they just seem a bit 'challenged' up front and un-sophisticated compared to the other makers. The layout of my old 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix had more character and imagination put into it (those of you who know that car may remember that the driver's position looked like the inside of a fighter jet...very )

I agree it's disappointing for things like this to happen. I am not certain all BMW service departments/personnel, or MB service departments would handle the issue the same way.
If you truly like your 335i, just get a new tire and replace it. As for the oil changes, a friend of mine told me she had to pay about a $100 bucks to have it changed on her SLK. The free maintenance services are bonuses. Just change the oil yourself in between or have it done elsewhere. I hate to say this, but the one person who will take the biggest hit financially will be you, not the jackasses at the BMW dealership or the tire companies. |

Dont you dare get a MB, i only have until OCT. 2008 till my lease is up and i cant wait to drive a faster and more fun automobile..
I cant say anything negative about MB service dept.. they treat me like a king, I bought my car from a dealership but i service it at another. My dealership emailed me and asked why i havent been coming in, and i made up a BS excuse about i waited to long and no one helped so i took my buisness elswhere.. The lady asked for my address and a week later i recieved a $100 Gift Cert. for the dealership ( service, gift shop, anywhere.) I'd rather you get a Acura or a Lexus then my car... P.S. AMG is the only thing i'll ever drive in the future from MB... |

E90: BAM! flat as a whitegirls ass! (even tho LA whitegirls are pretty loaded in the back ) No heritage and zero effort to focus on the driver. Plane, flat and boring (aside form the cool rings around the tach). Cockpits gone. Just another interior. very sad.

yeah i dunno bmw sf has treated me very well...when they were checking out steering problems it was determined that i needed hubcentrics for my aftermarket wheels and they didnt charge me for service or for rental, even though it was an f150 dbl cab which couldnt fit in my garage but thats a different story.

To my knowledge, that was a federal requirement, something to do with little kids and their safety. Same as the way window buttons themselves work, now they all have to be the type where you press down to lower, but have to hook the tip of your finger below the switch and pull up to raise. Apparently every now and then a small child would stand on the window switch and choke themselves to death as the window raised.
