She's not nuts, is always the voice of reason and I can count on her for anything anytime. That's more important than the cash.

Pretty sure you answered this already but what you are describing is the old world Hispanic culture not entirely just Mexican. My ex wife was Panamanian, her mom waited hand and foot on her dad because that's how it was, the 3 girls did as well.
My ex would not do anything at our house claimed she watched all her relatives do that etc etc so she would not, so I did most of it rather than let the stuff pile up so I guess if I was Hispanic it would make me a PAB as you described but I'm not Hispanic so I'm safe. We were raised in San Diego, her dad's business was in TJ so I got a good dose of the Mexican culture growing up and old school was your way others were very much not. BTW most of my girl friends as a youth were Mexican (they loved the surfer boys back in the day) and some did in fact have a household like you describe.

Those issues were pale in comparison to her Bipolar concerns and refusal to medicate for it. There were things that would make the news now a days she did to myself and the kids but she was insane literally.

Nope none of them were marrying material, they were booty calls and take out food calls. Not to sound racist but some of my best girl friends were of color as their moms always fed me well and let me pretty much do as I pleased with their daughters. I had a good time from about 15 to 22 with them.

I live in a 400 mile radius that is predominantly Mexican....

there are close to 3 million Mexicans living around me and I live 5 hours from the Mexican border...

the Mexican Culture in Texas is much different than the Mexican Culture in Seattle, trust me.....

Well I reside in California with triple your population just in Los Angeles alone (...over 4 million are latinos). The culture that you speak of is antiquated at best, but I do agree that many Mexican man still adhere to it.

My wife makes quite a good amount of money, not more than me, but only because I have my own company. On paper, her T4 (yes, Canada) is much more impressive.

I say awesome. More money for her means less complaining when I go and buy new car stuff and home theater gear. Rake it in, babe.

1. ebay sale through paypal upto $20k is tax free. No 1099-k issued by eBay.
2. After reaching the limit, I sell "used" good on a EE/Classified/etc etc, and no paypal transction.
3. I run my own hedge/investment.
4. I only cash in $72,500 minus (wage we receive on w2) to be near capital gains (sch D, and D-1) are tax free.
5. If we want to withdraw more, 15% cap gain tax imposed on any amount of 72.5k or higher. So we try to minimize that.
6. $72.5k + $19,999+ whatever I do on online is typically what I need to budget off of without massive amount of taxes. (you can say after taxes, since it is not taxed)
