So here's my $.02. When you're out with her friends the goal is to have them ask about you for weeks after the party. Everyone is different in how that happens. For me it's being whitty, funny and interesting. Got to make a positive impression. Throw the charm on her friends and she will see what being a couple with you is like.

For your individual date it needs to be overtly romantic. Again everyone is different, but going to the movies is NOT romantic. Find a unique place that is spectacular and requires you to be close. The goal here is to implant a memory of how great a boyfriend you can be.

Now with her friends asking about you and her special memory you have very clearly set the table regarding your plans. Either she goes for it or you were wrong in your assessment.

No, creating hoops for yourself to jump through is not the correct way. Just be yourself. No games, chasing, overtly obvious bs that won't be sustained, etc will work for LONG TERM good.
