I had a BRZ for 3 years before my 135, it's literally the dumbest owner group I've ever witnessed in my life.

BMW is well known for sandbagging its HP numbers and several recent efforts at dynoing BMWs produced results were the HP at the wheels was close to the HP at the crank.

Since this is a BMW engine, that is what is likely happening.

Not having to run premium fuel is a unforeseen plus!

Not having a heated seat on the passenger side is going to be an issue. Hoping a heated passenger seat can be optioned in.

I read that as heated power seats(driver & pass), with the memory only on the driver. Which would be a common setup.

Those alignment specs are way more aggressive than I’ve seen for any bmw cars.

-1.75 front camber
-2.00 rear camber

E92m3 front camber was -1.2, the M2 -1.3, and the M4 -1.3.

No wonder it's getting such praise for handling! Every lil bit helps to wake these cars up.

Latest C&D with a production car road test;

0-60 mph: 3.8 sec
1/4 mile: 12.3 sec @ 113 mph
Skidpad: 1.07 g

Performance/dollar this car has to be the new king as a 12 second 1/4 mile is very impressive at this price range.

This is nothing new. BMW has advertised x horsepower and most of the time, they have been found to put out x horsepower at the wheels. The brilliance of this is then it's entered into a competition with other cars, all of which are advertised as having similar to "x horsepower", except being measured at the wheels, the BMW always has a hp/tq advantage and takes the performance figures.

Has anyone dyno-ed an EU one? I'd be surprised if it's really down that much in power.

Dynos within this thread are EU spec and are showing powers similar to the US spec Z4 M40i. If memory serves me correct, around 360whp and 415wtq.

Not that I know of but the results of CarWow's drag test implies there is a significant difference (see post 2075) between the euro Z4 and the Supra.

The flip side is dyno tests here show the north american version of the Z4 to have a 34hp rwhp advantage vs. the Supra meaning the drag race test between the Supra and NA version of the M40i wouldn't have the same outcome.
